Can You Use a Calculator on the TEAS 7?
Yes — an on-screen calculator is built into the TEAS 7, in every section. It is a basic calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percent, square root, memory). You can't bring your own.
How to prepare for it
- Practice with a simple four-function calculator, so the on-screen one feels normal.
- Estimate before you click: a rough answer catches a mistyped number.
- Keep fractions, percents, ratios and unit conversions fast by hand — Math gives you about 90 seconds a question, and typing every step costs time.
- For dosage problems, write the units at every step: the calculator won't tell you whether to multiply or divide.
